The rising house producer, of Lobster Theremin and Dekmantel fame, whips up a joyful hour of new club beats.
Palms Trax is a Bristolian producer and DJ who makes contemporary house music that inspires wide smiles and stomping feet. After becoming a resident DJ at a London party called Streets of Beige, run by Jimmy Asquith, Palms Trax released his first two EPs on Asquith’s then-emerging Lobster Theremin label. Those records were comprised of low-slung melodic house with soft tinges of acid that tempered pounding drums and twice-fried synths with gentle, soaring pads. It was after releasing his third and fourth EPs, 2015’s In Gold and 2016’s High Point On Low Ground on the behemoth Dutch label Dekmantel, that his popularity soared, and he’s since become a familiar, exciting face on the European festival and club circuits.
