Brooklyn’s bubbling Afro-Latina MC visits our NYC studio for an in-depth discussion of her latest exploits.
Born in Michigan and raised in Florida, Nitty Scott came to New York at age 17 to pursue a career as an MC. The move was a vital decision that brought her phenomenal success – she’s performed at the BET Awards, released several finely tuned mixtapes and albums and collaborated with legends like Kendrick Lamar, Statik Selektah and Styles P, to name a few. Scott has navigated the labyrinthine world of east coast hip-hop with an agility that few other rappers can claim, all while maintaining a close connection to her values as an Afro-Latina feminist with Puerto Rican roots. This month she joins Riobamba and Uproot Andy live in our NYC studio to discuss her upcoming shows and latest projects.
