The Brooklyn DJs behind the massive Fourth World party discuss what’s in store for 2018 and go back-to-back, live from our NYC studio.
The phrase “fourth world” gets thrown around a lot in outer-limits musical contexts. But in the context of electronic music in New York, it’s come to mean something very particular: An absolutely massive, once-a-year summit for the city’s best DJs and live performers. This weekend, Fourth World will stage its 2018 edition, featuring dozens of acts over the course of 18 hours in the wilds of Bushwick. Simply put, it’s going to be insane. The Bunker’s Bryan Kasenic will perform this year, and he’s invited organizers R. Gamble and DJ Scallywag to join him for a back-to-back DJ set and discussion of what’s become one of the city’s most cherished traditions.
