Tosh Alexander brings her brand of pop-driven R&B with a dancehall twist to our New York studio. U ready for dem?
Named after her mother’s favorite reggae singer, Tosh Alexander has been singing and making music since she was a precocious teen. Sometimes R&B, sometimes pop and typically sprinkled with a little dancehall, Alexander strives to step outside the box to make music that finds a vibe and groove. Born in Jamaica, she came up in the US working with the likes of Busta Rhymes, Nikki Minaj, Pharrell and Scott Storch before heading back to Jamaica to chop it up with Andre Gray and Marlin Easy. This week on the Federation Sound, Max Glazer welcomes Alexander to the studio to talk hits like “Ready for Dem” and what she’s got lined up for 2018.
