The boundary-busting dancehall MC talks up her debut album, endorses guidance counseling and drops jaws with an explosive freestyle.

About a decade ago, burgeoning MC Tifa burst onto the scene as part of the all-female trio TNT (with Natalie Storm and Timberlee) and the raucous, raunchy 3 the Hard Way mixtape. A slew of singles was followed by her next outing, 2015’s Stay Away (both via the Federation Sound), where the singjay further disrupted dancehall convention with lyrics about typically taboo, sexually explicit topics. Tifa joins old friend Max Glazer to preview her studio LP, Curry Goat and Champagne, reminisce about their first meeting in Jamaica and discuss how she gives guidance to Jamaican school-age girls.
