The week’s best new electronic music, plus we talk with the multitalented Colin Self about his gorgeously eclectic new album on RVNG Intl.
With the calendar flipping to November and winter fast approaching, the flow of new electronic music is supposed to slow down a bit — but artists and labels around the world don’t seem to care. This week, there’s been a flood of new tunes popping up online and hitting shelves, which is why host Shawn Reynaldo is here to help sort through the mayhem. On this episode, he’ll play all of the top new tracks, and serve up an exclusive premiere from Silent Servant’s upcoming album, Shadows of Death and Desire. Coming in for an interview is Colin Self, an artist who’s dabbled in everything from choreography to puppetry while also finding the time to collaborate with the likes of Holly Herndon and Amnesia Scanner. Here he digs into his past and discusses the beautiful voices and queer culture that helped to define his new LP, Siblings, which comes out this week on RVNG Intl.
