A rundown of the week’s best new electronic music, plus a conversation with London producer and leftfield groove specialist Parris.
After a couple of weeks off, host Shawn Reynaldo returns amidst an absolute avalanche of new electronic music. With the holiday season right around the corner (a time when most people stop paying attention to new releases), artists and labels have been rushing to get their latest records out into the world, which means that November has seen an absolute torrent of new stuff. First Floor is here to shine a light on the best of the bunch, and this episode also includes an exclusive premiere of a track off the forthcoming album from veteran Detroit producer DJ Bone. Plus, we’re joined by rising London talent Parris, who just dropped a new EP called Puro Rosaceae via Bristol’s Idle Hands label. He reflects on his youthful love of dubstep, digs into his own artistic vision and contrasts the Bristol and London music scenes.
