A roundup of the week’s best new electronic music, plus an interview with Tiger & Woods cofounder Passarani about his new solo album.
Halfway through January, and it finally feels like the holiday season has come to an end, which means the floodgates of new electronic music have reopened. Shawn Reynaldo is still here to wade through the muck, plucking out only the finest specimens to share on the radio each week. On this episode, he also interviews veteran Italian producer Marco Passarani. Although he’s best known these days as one half of Tiger & Woods, Passarani’s catalog stretches back to the early ’90s — this week, the Offen Music label has dropped W.O.W., his first new solo album in 14 years. Passarani talks about returning to solo work after a decade of Tiger & Woods, the evolution of his studio set-up and his (surprising for some) relationship with Offen Music boss (and Red Bull Radio selector) Vladimir Ivkovic.
