The Japanese house producer and RBMA alumnus selects deep techno cuts and freaky dance music that inspire his own bumping productions.
Keita Sano hails from the Japanese city of Okayama, and joined RBMA as a participant in Montréal in 2016. Influenced by his father’s taste in jazz, and using his MPC1000, he produces house and techno that’s been released by labels like New York’s Mister Saturday Night and Canada’s 1080p. Sano’s style ranges from deep house shufflers to wilder creations full of horn and vocal samples, and inspired by the legacies of Chicago, New York and Detroit. 2017 has seen him intensify his work ethic, releasing several 12”s and taking his infamous live sets worldwide.
