Robert Hood to Jay Clarke, Rhythm Is Rhythm and Mike Storm: The one and only techno queen hits the decks with rhythmic excellence.
Expertly versed in both the relentless throb of Detroit techno and the emotional overtones of New York and Chicago house music, K-Hand has been unleashing dancefloor weapons for nearly three decades. Informed by her formative pilgrimages to Larry Levan’s Paradise Garage, K-Hand’s earliest productions were tested at Ken Collier’s Club Heaven and her first 12” was made with the help of Jeff Mills, Mike Banks and Mike Clarke. In the decades since, she’s been responsible for dozens of club-smashing house and techno tunes for labels like Warp, Nina Kraviz’s influential трип and her own Acacia Records, to name just a few. On Red Bull Radio, she distills her wealth of knowledge into a high-energy blast of house, techno and other electronic styles, balancing her love of Detroit’s past with her insatiable drive to keep the music moving forward.
