Jeff Parker is synonymous with Chicago, where the guitarist/composer spent a couple decades deeply embedded in the creative music community. His glistening guitar tone was integral to Tortoise, Isotope 217, Chicago Underground and many other ensembles honoring the city’s progressive traditions. The card-carrying AACM member is now a resident of Los Angeles and has found his footing in the region’s fruitful sonic outer-edges. Parker visits LAndscape to discuss his ever-evolving music activities and perform live. Frosty rounds out the episode with a selection of guitar-driven instrumentals from Los Angelenos.
