Balearic bass with a house swing: Amsterdam’s top selector Cinnaman captured live in the mix at Magnetic Fields in India.
Cinnaman first cut his teeth touring Europe as the support DJ for phreaky Dutch artist Aardvarck, which would probably explain his eclectic selection and his natural party-leaning intuition. But throw in extra early influences like working at Amsterdam institution Rush Hour, and the mightily influential Beat Dimensions compilation, and it’s no surprise that Cinnaman has gone on to establish himself as one of the Netherlands’ essential DJs of emerging electronic music. He’s also known to tinker in the studio, particularly with fellow cohort Tom Trago as Yuro & Trago. His club night Colors invited artists like Julio Bashmore, Skream, Jackmaster, Oneman, the Hessle Audio crew, and Breach, many to Amsterdam for the first time, putting him at the forefront of weighty bass grooves across the spectrum. Whatever he’s working on, he’s sure to move the dance, and is one of the best to do it.
