Pinch at Magnetic Fields
Tectonic’s boss man steps up with his special live mix of forward-looking bass weight. Recorded live at Magnetic Fields in India.
Since its foundation in 2005, Pinch’s label Tectonic has promoted pioneering music that has helped the dubstep bubble develop into what it is today, with a roster including many Bristol based artists such as Peverelist, Addison Groove and RSD (AKA Rob Smith, one half of the legendary Smith & Mighty). The very first release on Tectonic, Pinch & P Dutty’s “War Dub”, paved the way for a new string of producers to make waves on the scene with the backing of a visionary label that knew where the sound was going. Tectonic has since built up an enviable back catalogue of over 50 releases that reflect the contemporary world of electronic music and underground club culture. Whilst rooted deeply in various forms of UK bass, Tectonic has branched out and experimented with its sound through seminal tracks from artists such as Pursuit Grooves, Illum Sphere and Addison Groove.
