Dan Beaumont: To The Rhythm at XOYO
The London DJ and club activist draws a mix of modern anthems and deep burners. Recorded live at Erol Alkan’s To The Rhythm residency.
We catch Dan Beaumont showing why he was Erol Alkan’s choice to kick off his To The Rhythm residency, with a taut set of club burners and underground house anthems for a packed floor. Check the line-up of which guests are forth-coming here. To call Dan Beaumont a linchpin of London’s house scene since the ’00s is quite an understatement. As a DJ and radio host, his cult transmissions on NTS are lapped up by savvy crowds, perhaps even unaware that it’s him under the monikers Jam Factory and Rhythm Connection. As co-owner of Dalston Superstore, Dance Tunnel and pizza spot Voodoo Ray’s, his fingerprints are all over the capital’s nightlife. With a consistent stream of releases on labels Disco Bloodbath, No Fit State and Work Them, Beaumont constructs a feel-good atmosphere that sounds at once worldwide and characteristically London.
