Negative Scanner’s Rebecca Valeriano-Flores brings the post-punk aesthetic, while Bruce Lamont serves transcendent, layered sounds.

Recorded at the industrial-style venue Saffron Rails, as part of the Drone Activity night at the Red Bull Music Festival in Chicago, this episode features individual performances by Rebecca Valeriano-Flores and Bruce Lamont. Up first is Valeriano-Flores, whose roaring voice and guitar shreds add to the punk oeuvre of her local band Negative Scanner. Next we hear from gothic industrialist Bruce Lamont, an artist who is involved in several noise and experimental acts like Bloodiest, Brain Tentacles, Circle of Animals, Corrections House, Dyslexic Apaches, Rabid Rabbit and Yakuza. He performs tracks from his most recent release, the avant-jazz LP Broken Limbs Excite No Pity on War Crime Recordings.
