The NYC hardcore band and the Canadian R&B crooner perform at the Illegal Civilization takeover of the Pink Motel.

Recorded at the Red Bull Music Festival in Los Angeles, this episode features individual performances by Show Me the Body and Diamond Cafe. Show Me the Body keeps it true, New York City style – this is a hardcore band that pulls in influences from rap, post-punk and blues, and is inspired by the diversity and grit of the city that never sleeps. Whether they’re playing alongside Ratking, Ho9909 or experimental club dwellers like the Haxan Cloak, Pictureplane or Moor Mother, the Letter Racer collective members are continually poised to suck you into one of the most eclectic and cathartic pits around. Diamond Cafe is a young songwriter hailing from Victoria, British Columbia. His sultry style of R&B calls to mind artists like Dev Hynes and Prince. With a handful of EPs to his name, including the standout Breathe from 2017, he is part of a group of Canadian artists who utilize the seductive sonic palette of the 1980s.
