The young Philly rapper with a psychedelic imagination and kooky sense of wordplay flaunts her unique style at the Illegal Civ showcase.
In just 15 minutes, Tierra Whack made an impact. The young Philadelphia rapper’s 2018 debut, Whack World, is an album of 15 one-minute-long tracks. Informed by our social media age, the psychedelic wormholes of Whack’s wordplay bring together her childhood loves: Cartoons and Missy Elliott. She started to work under her own name in 2015 (with friend, producer and engineer Kenete Simms) and signed to Interscope a couple years later. With her infectious hooks and goofy rhymes, Tierra Whack is a rising rapper with a vast imagination. In this session, she performs at the Illegal Civilization showcase at the Pink Motel.
