Scratcha DVA, Nightwave, Traxman and DJ Phil
Hyperdub shapeshifter Scratcha DVA, Glasgow RBMA alumna Nightwave and Teklife’s Traxman and DJ Phil join DJ Earl live in our London studio.
A purveyor of superbly crafted solo releases on Kode9’s Hyperdub label, Keysound Recordings and his very own DVA imprint, Scratcha DVA AKA Scratcha and DVA [Hi:Emotions] – to name just a few of his moniker’s permutations, as frequent as his stylistic switch-ups – has also worked with the likes of Cooly G_, Roska, London’s Night Slugs posse and the global Teklife crew. With bass-heavy riddims navigating his organic swing, melodic dubstep fusions, playful grooves and technoid sounds, Scratcha’s definitely one of the most forward-thinking minds in the bass game. On this episode of Teklife’s monthly showcase of 160-BPM mayhem, he’s joined by Glasgow’s nocturnal bass queen and 2011 RBMA alumna Nightwave (formerly 8bitch) and Chicago Teklife member DJ Phil. Keep it locked for exclusive new material, a new DJ mix from the Windy City’s Traxman and more.

DJ Phil’s not wrong – Goldie performing “Timeless” with an orchestra is truly mindblowing.
