The Chicago rapper drops by to chat about his rise up and his latest album, Freewave 3.
Lucki caught the wave of recognition early. His first album, Alternative Trap, was released in 2012 when he was just 17. Since then he’s released a couple more EPs and mixtapes, and collaborated with the likes of Chance the Rapper, FKA Twigs, Danny Brown and Earl Sweatshirt. This month he released his latest body of work, Freewave 3, which is a profound, honest journey through his move to New York, his return back to Chicago and love that was gained and lost. On this album Lucki is finding his stride and defining his sound. This week on True Laurels with host Lawrence Burney, Lucki stops in to discuss all this and more.
