One third of the Baltimore rap trio Peso da Mafia drip some local flavor all over the True Laurels airwaves.

One of the more eccentric artists in Baltimore’s rap scene, Shordie Shordie holds it down as one third of the group Peso da Mafia, who tell stories of Northeast Baltimore street life with stuttering rhyme schemes and hood harmonies. On this week’s episode of True Laurels, Shordie checks in with host Lawrence Burney to discuss his penchant for catchy hooks, his debut solo project Captain Hook, and how he launched his career with the viral hit “Money Man.”
