C.L.A.W. returns with a Glasgow-via-London collabo by RBMA alumni Nightwave and Ronika. Plus new music by Sneaks, Deerhoof and more.
Welcome back to another episode of the Collaborative Legions of Artful Womxn. This time we’re proud to debut a brand-new collaboration between Glasgow’s own Nightwave and London-based producer/singer Ronika. Both attended the Madrid edition of RBMA in 2011, they also both run their own labels and are generally killing it on a number of levels. Ronika put out her last full-length album Lose My Cool on her own Record Shop label last year, and is currently readying a new release with producer Lindstrom. Nightwave has had numerous releases on labels like Warp and Unknown to the Unknown, and just put out a new EP, Sanctuary, on Fool’s Gold Records last week. Besides premiering their Latin freestyle-tinged uptempo jam “Give Me Life,” we also called up Nightwave in Glasgow to talk about their collaboration, her new EP, and the Producergirls workshop, which she runs alongside fellow producer E.M.M.A. from London.
