Merrill Garbus in the chat with Terri Winston of Women’s Audio Mission, while Mexico’s Chhoti Maa collaborates with rap artist Dio Ganhdih.
Joining host Merrill Garbus on the show this month for an in-depth interview is Terri Winston, executive director of San Francisco’s Women’s Audio Mission. The award-winning recording engineer, music producer, recording artist and tenured professor’s extensive C.V. includes shared stages with the Pixies, P.J. Harvey and Flaming Lips; she’s recorded or engineered with Lenny Kaye, the Kronos Quartet and Angelique Kidjio. This month’s collaborative track is provided by two Bay Area-based artists: Queer indigenous lyricist Dio Ganhdih and bruja advocate Chhoti Maa.
